In our opinion, manual therapy (from "manus", Latin for hand) is probably the most important procedure in our treatment. Special hand movements and mobilization techniques are used to identify and treat pain and restricted movement. Direct contact with the tissue or the patient allows for finely tuned, individualized treatment that requires a great deal of sensitivity.
Manual therapy is used to examine and treat functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Manual therapy uses passive and active techniques and can be carried out both impulsively and impulsively. In addition to pain relief and improved movement, the main aim of the treatment is to restore the interaction between joints, muscles and nerves.
Before an individual treatment plan can be drawn up, your pet will undergo a detailed physiotherapeutic examination, in which the joint mechanics, muscle function and coordination of movements are examined in particular.
Existing functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system are then treated using passive techniques and, later on, active exercises (see also training therapy / physiotherapy). On the one hand, blocked or restricted joints are mobilized using gentle techniques, and on the other, unstable joints can be stabilized through individual exercises.
In addition to pain relief and improved movement, the aim of the treatment is primarily to restore the interaction between joints, muscles and nerves.
